Secret Recipe Spaghetti Sauce

1 bag burger crumbles, optional
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 (12 ounce) cans tomato paste
1 (7 1/2 ounce) can pitted ripe olives, drained and rinsed, sliced
1 bay leaf
2 (1 1/4 ounce) envelopes spaghetti sauce mix
3 cups water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon oregano

In a large soup pot, saute the burger crumbles, garlic, onion, and green pepper in a bit of olive oil until soft.
Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a low boil, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours stirring often.
